What the public guides are designed to do
DisputePass public guides help a consumer organise a record before choosing a complaint, regulator, ombudsman, alternative-dispute-resolution or court route. They identify the evidence categories and official starting points that commonly matter. They do not decide legal rights, predict a result or replace the current instructions of the responsible authority.
The paid product is a self-service document-generation package. It uses the facts and documents supplied by the user to create editable drafts. The user remains responsible for checking names, dates, amounts, legal references, forms, fees, service requirements and deadlines before signing or submitting anything.
Source hierarchy
Our first choice is a statute, regulator, court, tribunal, ombudsman or government consumer portal for the applicable market. If several official sources overlap, we prefer the source with the narrowest jurisdiction and subject-matter responsibility, then the most recently updated procedural instruction. General consumer portals are treated as orientation, not as proof that a particular route accepts a particular case.

Jurisdiction and language are kept separate
A translated interface does not change the jurisdiction. The guide URL and visible location identify the applicable market and region, while hreflang connects genuine language equivalents. Translation is an accessibility layer; it is not a representation that every authority accepts a submission in that language.
United States state layers, all four United Kingdom jurisdictions, European Union member-state layers, Puerto Rico and every Australian state and territory are represented separately. The user must still confirm the competent body for the business, sector, amount and location.
Update and correction process
Each guide displays its last reviewed date and links back to this method. Source links are checked during scheduled catalog review and before major template changes. A substantive change to the legal route, official form or filing destination triggers a content update and a new sitemap lastmod date. Cosmetic deployments do not reset every page date.
If a source is unavailable or contradictory, the guide remains cautious and directs the user to verify the current local instruction. We do not add ratings, success percentages, professional credentials or customer outcomes unless they are supported by verifiable first-party records and may be published lawfully.
